UK carers suffering due to lack of support, according to Carers UK research

Findings of survey of over 2,100 carers, launched to coincide with Carers Week, show that 75 per cent of carers were unprepared for all aspects of caring; 81 per cent said they were not aware of the support available; and 35 per cent believe they were given the wrong advice about the support on offer.

Results incude that, whilst 36 per cent were either extremely or very satisfied with the support and services they and the person they care for received and 29 per cent were quite satisfied, 5 per cent were quite dissatisfied and 4 per cent were either very or extremely dissatisfied.
