We’re in phase 2 going digital in October. We were originally told it was going to be from the last Weds of the month, but have now heard from the council and local JCP that the date has been brought forward 2 weeks, to 12th October. This is for Craven, I don’t have anything to confirm that it also applies to the rest of the tranche: Hambleton, Lambeth, Southwark, Taunton Deane, West Somerset.

edit: DWP say that putting all areas in a tranche onto full service on the same day causes too much strain on the call centre, so we are being staggered through the month.

Yes - it just gives specific dates and specific postcodes for phase 2 of the roll-out which we didn’t have before - summary now up - http://www.rightsnet.org.uk/welfare-rights/news/item/further-roll-out-of-the-universal-credit-digital-service2

it does seem like some jobcentre areas are split over dates - for example swindon seems to be part on 30 November and part on 14 December which seems strange - haven’t checked whether there are others like that.

I believe the Scottish ones in November are Port Glasgow, Greenock and Kirkintilloch - https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/539516/universal-credit-transition-rollout-schedule-phase-1-to-3-2016-to-2017.pdf - so East Dunbartonshire too

So our tenants in Hartlepool who claim UC ‘full service’ after 7th December will be experiencing the horrible insecurity of not knowing when or whether you are going to be paid UC and will accrue (or increase) rent arrears, over the Christmas period.  I don’t envy any families with children whose tax credits and housing benefit stop during this period, and who are not paid again until mid January.

DWP now highlighted two jobcentres with split roll-out and minor date changes -

‘This Order includes minor variations of the expansion plan as follows:
Shepherds Bush Jobcentre will now join the service on 23 November, rather than December
Peckham Jobcentre will join in 2 phases on 5 October and 9 November, rather than entirely in October
Swindon Jobcentre will join in 2 phases on 30 November and 14 December, rather than entirely in December

As far as I can see Market Harborough (LE16) isn’t listed - although Market Harborough JCP was down to start in November so presumably that one is split too.

LE17 is in there from 30/11/2016 .... and LE17 6AJ, for example, is covered by Market Harborough Jobcentre Plus according to http://los.direct.gov.uk/

Yep - i just meant it’s split in the sense that they’re not going full service in their “home town” - which is what you might have thought from the from the DWP bumpf.
