Employment & Support Allowance section have told my client they may qualify for some Employment & Support Allowance because they will only take into account £86 of the Widows Pension, not the full amount,  as they are deducting the difference from the contributions made by the client’s partner.

Does this sound right to anyone?

Clarification call from DWP they will disregard any Widow’s Pension income above £86 if it is a contribution based award, a rare beneficial loophole!
