‘There is no concept of National Insurance credits only claims within Universal Credit’.

There has never really been any such thing as a ‘credits only claim’ for ESA or anything else.
What should be possible is to qualify for NI credits on the basis of LCW.

I sympathise - i got tied in knots over this a short time ago and then found previous threads (as quoted above)which made matters clear. Now I’ve got to remember to jettison that concept!!!
Yeah, it blew my mind when I realised this! It is interesting how we do use shorthand and simplify terms out of necessity, but it can distort our understanding.
