ICE complaint

Hi All

I’m helping a cl with an LCWRA issue (much delayed WCA following a health declaration by cl) that includes a complaint to the Independent Case Examiner (v long story) - the ICE has responded (after much to-ing and fro-ing and a derisory but usual £100 offer) to basically ask “how much does your client want”?

Does anyone have any experience of ICE compensation? How much should I ask for? Is there anywhere I can look at previous ICE “settlements”? Many thanks for any advice.

Try the annual report which includes various case studies - https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/dwp-complaints-annual-report-by-the-independent-case-examiner-2021-to-2022

Although ‘derisory’ does tend to be the watchword.
