FOI request reveals an 8 page list of all the different to-do actions that are currently hosted on the UC service

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/939537/response/2234950/attach/4/UC%20To%20Do%20list%20as%20at%20Jan%202023%20FOI2023%2004341.pdf?cookie_passthrough=1

It doesn’t include “request a backdate”..........Just like the online claim.

Which seems odd given this FOI: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/use_of_backdating_to_dos

The online claim does not ask “what date do you want to claim from?”.  It just initiates the claim from the date you hit the “submit claim” button.  Therefore, the options for a claimant to request a backdate are immediately limited, and there is no information on how to do it. So although the facility may exist within UC, it’s not much use if claimants are not aware of it.

It has ‘Make a decision (backdate claim)’ on page 1 and ‘Refer to Decision Maker (Late reporting of a backdated claim)’ on page 6 but I take your point nothing about requesting!

And of course, the online claim doesn’t give you the option of requesting a backdate, so, even though the DM has the ability to consider backdating, there is no way for the claimant to request it.
