UC50A
Apologies if I am weeks, months or even years behind the trend on this. I am hearing that there is now a form UC50A which serves as a dual purpose WCA questionnaire for UC and new-style ESA when someone claims both at the same time. This is subtly different from plain old UC50. So instead of copying the UC50 to ESA, or vice versa, and adding a note saying “surely this is just the same form with a different serial number, will it do?”, you now officially fill in a single form which will be used to assess LCW for both benefits.
Is this right - and has it been right for ages already, completely unknown to me? Don’t often deal with LCW issues so there are gaps in my knowledge.
Thanks.
I’ve not seen one in the flesh, but I think the UC50A (and ESA50A) is a shorter form that assesses whether someone has LCWRA. It’s for those who are already treated as having LCW, eg hospital inpatients

Many thanks Sean
One of my clients received a UC50A last year and the questions were around the LCWRA descriptors.
