Have I spotted a sense of humour, a Bowie fan or something else going on in the ADM?
On browsing the Minimum Income Floor guidance H4032, I spotted this example:
“Ziggy plays guitar and every fortnight performs at his local pub. He plays for about two hours and receives £20 for each performance. The pub where Ziggy plays advertise the nights that Ziggy performs. Ziggy does not play anywhere else and regards the fortnightly performances as a bit of fun.”
Ziggy plays guitar!!!
Is this similar to where Ordinance Survey staff used to hide their initials / symbols into OS maps?
Maybe he should team up with Reuben at H4057:
Reuben performs as an Elvis Presley tribute act. He is registered with a number of entertainment websites .... he supplements his income, as a singing Father Christmas in the local shopping centre.
aha haha
I think this might be a rogue civil servant. The demographic will be male and in their early 60’s - to have at least lived through these two era’s
Just don’t mention the drugs!

Excuse me Clive - are you saying women don’t have a sense of humour??? ;)
The example at paragraph J3143 features a couple named Jules and Jim (one for film buffs).
And I have my suspicions about example 1 at H4234: “Boris drives a black cab in central London.”
Obviously any profits would need to be apportioned between Ziggy, and Weird and Gilly….......
Brilliant!
Typical that the Spiders from Mars get nowt once again
Well. Thanks everyone. It will be difficult not to read the guidance without looking for such references. I wonder if they are also in upper tribunal decisions?
