Client expecting low salary in Feb as has been off work sick. Today has applied for UC. Going back to work next week. Phoned JC+ and they are struggling to give him appointment as he works 45 mins away, and only gets 30 mins at lunchtime. Can’t afford to take more time off . Waiting for JC+ to phone back but doesn’t seem to be an easy solution.

that’s an issue that surely is going to affect many people who live/work no where near their nearest jobcentre, whether going back to work after sickness or otherwise.

Is it yet another issue that they haven’t factored in to their (not fit for purpose) process?

From our limited experience trying the call centre to do something similar. We had to, in the end get the help of the local Partnership Manager, so the client could go to a another Job centre 2 minutes walk away.
