If UC is suspended   will this   include the element towards   his rent   costs?

Well, unless UC are satisfied of the exact amount claimant is earning from the alleged work - and are satisfied that this income still entitles the claimant to UC - there’s no real option but to suspend. Much more likely scenario is they have information to suggest he might be working, but have no idea how much he might be earning…..

And yes, therefore a suspension of the whole lot.

We are seeing cases where the whole claim is suspended including housing costs.  I guess if there is a question mark over income that would affect the whole award, similarly if there is a question whether the basic conditions of entitlement are met.
Also seen cases where whole claim ‘suspended’ over questions of whether work search conditions are met ...
