I have begun to see this a few times now in Statement of Reasons for refusal of DLA.  Anyone else had this given as a reason for not accepting night time care needs?

Yes, I have had two recently. However after MR HRC was awarded. It seems to be an issue, particular around autism.

I have an appeal coming soon where the DWP say no evidence of need to be supervised at night and he has autisim and adhd, there are some useful references if google search the topic and look through the regs to see if any room for wider scope of definition and application. For me it is lack of understanding on behalf of decision makers that causes the problem

Our entire raison d’etre summarised nicely :)
