Has anyone encountered any errors when looking through a claimant’s UC award letter? We have found a few where people are having income deducted from UC which should be disregarded and people who are receiving DLA but are not having limited capability for work element included in UC so are having to pay for prescriptions.

DLA entitlement not linked to LCW element so that’s not an error. Also, don’t think LCW element entitlement is necessary for free prescriptions in England - any UC provided no or low earnings (under £435 pcm) will do.

Saw a letter showing an earnings disregard after it was abolished, should have been removed for this client in April and it was June so wrong for 2 Assessment periods. Overpayment will be recoverable despite their mistake, grhhhhh.
