Like what the title of the thread says, anyone have any idea about Attendance Allowance processing times for decision making on claims? Done some searching and can’t find anything useful. Any pointers gratefully received.

Many thanks etc :-)

the only ones i’ve dealt with were for my mother, and both dealt with relatively quickly, didn’t even come back to me for anything more (no clue if they wrote to GP/care home/social worker, though….) (first one for lower rate, then a few years later for higher rate, which she now has…)

Made a claim end of June and got an award within 3 weeks (non-terminal)

I’ve been seeing 3-4 weeks for a decision   they are operating at quite a consistent level at the moment however I must say, I received my first ever decline this week and I was not a happy bunny!

Thanks all, I’d a feeling 4-weeks wasn’t an uncommon turn-around time but can’t find any official statistics on decision making anymore. I’m sure DWP used to give these out.
