Hi I have a client who is on LRC and LRM and is 75 years old. Client wants to apply for a supersession as explained her mobility has got worse and as a result has more care needs. I understand that it is doubtful that she would qualify for a change in the mobility side because she is over 65. With regards to the care side if she doesn’t get awarded MRC or HRC is there a possibility that she would still keep her LRC or can the possible outcomes only be that she gets awarded either MRC or HRC and if not would lose the care component altogether? I’ve been having a read around and I can’t be clear on this. Thanks in advance for any advice.

1.  mobility cant be changed
2.  if they lose the care component its lost and they wont be able to get it back
3.  it is possible the claim could stay the same.  you are requesting a super session on the basis needs have changed so they could just decide no grounds to supersede and so current decision remains.

thats my view anyway.

Cheers Steve, that makes things a bit more simplified and makes sense.
