Does anyone know if the present earnings limit of £110 is being increased in April 2016?

Claimants who are working 16 hours per week at the minimum wage will lose their entitlement as the minimum wage is being increased to £7.20 x 16= £115.20.

Don’t think so, I’ve not seen any policy change since I asked about this last year.

The issue has been highlighted by Carers UK:
https://www.employersforcarers.org/news/item/1150-carers-uk-calls-on-government-to-increase-carer-s-allowance-earnings-threshold-to-stop-carers-losing-out-on-support

It’s aggravating, because it would be such an easy problem for government to correct.

Half of anything paid into a occupational/personal pension is discounted from earnings. So paying £11 per week into a pension scheme reduces income by £5.50 = net earning £109.70 = maintain eligibility for CA.
