Resi care England PEA for 2016/17?
Hi,
Does anyone know what the personal expenses allowance will be for charging for resi care in 2016/17 in England? As far as I can see this will still be announced via Local Authority Circular from the DoH, despite the Care Act changes. I’m sure it’s usually announced by now?
I can’t see anything on the DoH page for the LA Circulars.
Thanks
Jane
Just checked with someone here and we’re not sure either, but will make some enquiries and see what we can find out.
Doesn’t look like the England regs are out yet ..... just Scotland, where the figure will be £25.80
Thanks, I hadn’t realised that the regs needed to be changed. But that makes sense as the current figure is in here http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2014/2672/pdfs/uksi_20142672_en.pdf so of course they will need to issue new regs to change the figure.
I wonder if that is what is holding it up? In previous years they could just issue a circular to change the figure.
Yes, our contact hasn’t seen any new regs either, she’s contacted DoH to see what’s what.
Mmmmmmm ... there’s probably a reason for this, but ....
... just tried searching on http://www.legislation.gov.uk/search and there don’t seem to have been regs in 2015 for England (at least not containing the words “Sums for Personal Requirements” or “National Assistance”)
Is this them for last year?
