You may not have had a UC appeal yet - at the end of December only 4 had had a hearing - but when you do here is a briefing for representatives from HMCTS -

- in joint UC claims ‘it will be helpful’ if the rep also obtains the written authority to act for the Joint Party (ie the partner of your client) - this will ‘allow HMCTS to disclose any evidence relevant to the appeal which concerns the Joint Party’ - it’s hard to imagine what info about the claim won’t concern the Joint Party if it’s a joint claim??
