I noticed similar in the recent Housing Benefit overpayment recovery good practice from the news story on 16 Feb.
On page 6, under the section headed Effective debt recovery - Good practice includes use of social media sites to provide an indication as to a debtors potential means of repayment/life style
So it’s not just Maximus who’ll be snooping on you but the local authority as well potentially.
To be fair - having thought about it the practice is no difference to most other businesses using social media.
Should you make a complaint in general - let’s say using
#Bigsupermarket ripped me off and the queue was too long and didn’t have what I want. Sort your life out!
You’ll get a response from the #Bigsupermarket customer service team to at least apologise and to I assume prevent damage to the business by mediating. As below…...

According to the BBC radio news Maximus is due to take over from today.
