Can someone furnish me with the rules as to whether these two benefits can be paid together in some way or if they overlap? Can’t find a thing about it. Thanks

Hiya - CPAG page 1165; AA, DLA, PIP, AFI and CAA all overlap one another.

I’ve always felt that CPAG could lay it out better….

Hi

CAA is part of the IIDB scheme -  AA will be reduced by the amount of CAA in payment to client

It’s not uncommon to claim AA/DLA (I guess PIP now) pending the outcome of a CAA decision as special rules AA/DLA/PIP is quicker (or used to be) than the CAA process. However, you don’t get paid the full rate of each.
