registering with the FCA to provide debt advice?
Do we need to?
We are a RSL and we currently refer cases with debt to a number of other agencies. If we wanted to do some simple, straightforward (hahaha) debt advice that didnt involve DROs, bankruptcy, insolvency etc do we need to register?
I’m thinking doing income / expenditure sheets and writing offer letters to creditors for people with low level credit debt. No recomendations of products (we do already give advice about accessing basic bank accounts) no selling etc.
We’d apply for a CFS licence obviously.
What say you, wise people of Rightsnet?
