Oh why, why, why, why on Earth can’t I print off an ESA3 off the internet? I can find the pdf doc but can do nothing with it.
Any ideas anyone?
Thank you.
Patrick.

They have set the security on the document so that it is unprintable - I found this out the other week. I don’t know why, it’s on my ‘meaning to ask when there’s time’ list.
They couldn’t possibly want to make life hard for folks, could they?

You could try the ESA1 instead. I’ve had quite a few clients who when placed in the support group become entitled to a top up of income related benefit and the DWP have been happy to accept that as it includes all the information needed on one of their own forms. I have always included a covering letter explaining client already getting contribution based benefit and this is just for income related.
The ESA1 you can print off and then fill in with a pen so there doesn’t appear any restriction on it.

I used an ESA1 and put some explanation on and it was accepted without any problem.

Try using a different document reader, rather than Adobe. I have managed to print off the ESA3 from the DWP website using the document reader that comes with Windows 8

Hello Sanat et al. Yes I tried the link you provided, but with no success. And I’m afraid that I wasn’t at all successful with the other other sugestions either. Never mind, my client is calling into the Jog Centre for one today. Nice to hear from you though and I hope all is well with you and yours.

By the way, what is the web address for the ESA3 that is available over the internet?

The webpage is cached and the address won’t copy and paste. However:
Search on “ESA3 form download”
The first hit in Google is for the gov.uk website entitled “ESA Interactive claim form” and is marked as a [pdf] file.
Open the file in the usual way.
https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/300225/esa1.pdf
Save this to your desktop and then you can print it off

Looks good to me. And it looks like it’s printable as well. Good news on a bad day. Thank you.
