Does one have to ask for a [Mandy] MR for when challenging backdating for THE SDP component of ESA?

Any comments welcome

Depends whether you’ve had a decision or not. If you’ve asked them to backdate the sdp and they have issued a decision to say no then yes it’s a mandy. But if your client has just got awarded the DLA/PIP and you want them to apply the backdated sdp then you just ask for a supersession of the ESA award to apply the sdp from the date the qualifying benefit was awarded from
