rightsnet benefit rates poster
Hi
Universal Credit Disabled Child Element higher rate £362.92
Housing Benefit Couples one or both aged 65+ £247.20
Many thanks
Shaun
brilliant ... cheers shaun ... getting it updated now .....
You have the benefits cap at £500 for couples and children / £350 for single people. The draft benefits rate circular slips in the equivalent of the £350 cap for couples without kids on Universal Credit.
I’m checking this.
am on it ... cheers gareth .....
hi again gareth .. under footnote (c) we have a universal credit related benefit cap of £1,517/month for those without children .. does that do it?
Sorry Shawn, re-reading it I’d confused myself. Might be worth specifying Universal Credit as the benefit concerned. It’s actually quite a big issue, as I’ve said in my blog, drops the cap from £26,000 to £18,000 for couples.
I’ll take this opportunity to nitpick… the wording for the WTC childcare limits: “70% of up to ...” is fine. However, the UC childcare limits are maximum element (ie net) not the maximum eligible childcare so “70% of up to…” isn’t quite right for those.
love a bit of nit-picking ...... cheers jon
Could the short term Incapacity parts not be removed now?
Child care costs in UC are indeed confusing maybe easier to say 70% of up to £758 for 1 child and £1,300 for 2 or more children.
You’ve spelt “poster” wrong in the thread title.
