We are experiencing lengthy delays from setting up claim over telephone and the form being received by customer. We book in appointments for 2 weeks ahead, ring to confirm form is there and 9 times of 10 it is not. Dept advise that the 4 weeks to complete and return will only start when they actually put it in the post, can we depend on this and why should it take 3 weeks to get the form out when the part completed by Dept is done as the information is provided by customer.

Indeed. DWP are guiding 7-10 working days to receive the PIP2 form when you phone them… Assuming it takes the best part of a week to get the form back through the post and into DWP’s postroom… Doesn’t leave a huge amount of time to complete - especially if you need assistance to get it done.

I’ve called a couple of times to request an extension to the deadline and they have added an extra 2 weeks without argument so worth trying that if you’re cutting it fine.
