Bedroom tax - couples unable to share a room
I’m aware of the Gorry case where it was held that families had to be allowed an extra bedroom where children who would otherwise be expected to share were unable to do so because of disability. I understand that the DWP’s current position is to advise LAs to allow these extra rooms but that they still maintain that the judgement does not apply to adult couples in a similar position. Is there an ongoing case going through the courts that is dealing with this issue?
One of the cases We are Spartacus was involved with involves a couple who cannot share a bedroom due to one partner’s disabilities. According to the law firm taking the case it is going to judicial review this month. See

This issue will be covered by the judicial review - final hearing is 15-17 May. If the couple have a decision they should appeal now, to avoid any issue about the anti-test case rule.
Thanks both, fingers crossed for the JR!
