Student Housing Benefit Claim

Hi,

I have a client who was a qualifying student as a lone parent.  However, his daughter left the property, CB ended and he is no longer being treated as a qualifying student and his claim has been terminated.

He has 3 months to go until his course ends and is facing having to give it up as he can’t afford rent based on the income he receives. 

Is there any regulation which allows an extended payment of HB where a claimant’s circumstances change mid course? My gut feeling is no but thought I’d ask anyway.
