Housing cost contribution/non-dependent deductions

Hello, we are just looking at the ‘housing cost contributions’ under Universal Credit and notice it is set at a flat rate of £68 per week for over 21 year olds.  I can’t see that there won’t be a deduction if the non dep is on universal credit themselves and this would mean an expectation that people pay £68 per week out of £56.80 or £71.70?? Are we missing something? - i really hope so.

As UC is paid monthly, isn’t that a monthly figure?
