WCA issues - response from IDS

We have received responses via local MPs to issues we have raised about ESA:
- poor quality of decisions
- failure to review a decision when formally requested (with additional evidence)
- implications of mandatory revision before appeal (for WCA and PIP)
- implications for PIP of a WCA type assessment process

based on our WCA appeal outcomes (90%+) and a detailed anylisis of those decisions (i.e. 30% were ‘found fit’ to support group).

Note the response fails to address any of the specific issues raised.

Interestingly while one MP received (the attached) reply form IDS others received the same response from Mark Hogan. We await with interest to see which minister will reply to the MP for Witney!

I also particularly like the way they pin any failure in the WCA process on the previous government.

Indeed, given that the process itself was introduced as the All Work Test by a Tory govt. But then again Labour did change the name of it to make it look like they were doing something!
