Hi,

Hope that someone can help with this.

I’m trying to confirm what regulations amended the Council Tax (Discount Disregards) Order 1992 so as to include ESA as a qualifying benefit for the purposes of a discount on severe mental impairment grounds.

I’ve searched on http://www.legislation.gov.uk and just can’t find anything.

CT(DD) Order 1992 was never amended to take account of ESA but it seems that this wasn’t necessary and you can rely on the Interpretation Act : see the last post in this old thread:-
