Activity 10 consciousness
Client has inability to focus so has constant double vision
He has to concentrate to bring both images together. This lapses when it can no longer be done - any thoughts on whether or not he might score any points re Activity 10?
He has no control over when this occurs I would therefore argue it is involuntary,
Thanks in advance
Could the problem be corrected or alleviated by the use of appropriate spectacles or contact lenses?
No he has tried this to no avail it is a problem which he is not going to improve and can only be amnaged with the use of rest and exercises.
He spends roughly half each day resting his eyes
Does his condition actually invove loss of consciousness or altered consciousness, rather than just visual disturbance? Have you considered descriptor 8, which deals with sensory deprivation?
IMHO this wouldn’t come under Activity 10. What your person is experience doesn’t sounds more like a sensory impairment caused by a physical difficulty with focusing than episodes of altered consciousness.
So the brain is correctly processing imperfect data. Contrast with the opposite situation where the eyes are working fine and sending the right information back but which is then interpreted incorrectly by the brain.
