I know that the tribunals service shreds appeal documentation after 6 months or so, but is anyone aware if they maintain a basic record of decisions?

Have a client who won a DLA overpayment case in 2009, but after a 3-year gap suddenly has a debt collection agency chasing her for the £7k. The original decision notice may have gone walk about in her home(!)

Yes, was thinking that might be the solution. ‘Logically’ I would expect them to maintain a basic list of outcomes in case of situations like this, but you never know!

They do keep a record.  I found this out on a case I had recently.

Thanks Nevip! Let’s hope the system isn’t ‘streamlined’ under the new justice minister…
