LHA payment on two homes

Hi all,

Are there any differences in the rules regarding payment of benefit on two homes between HB and LHA?

I’ve had a query where a person has been refused payment on two homes, allegedly because they’ve moved from social rented accomodation to private rented accomodation and are therefore now having to claim LHA rather than HB. Of course there may be other reasons for the refusal ( i don’t have all the details) but this is the reason I was given by the tenants support worker.
