Shared Room Rate in Social Tenancy?
An interesting snippet from Inside Housing…...
Not really surprising: the argument (if you can call it that) was that many single people under 35 already live in shared accommodation in the private sector. However there can’t be very much of it in the social sector, so there’s no significant comparator.
That said, locally Viridian Housing has a block of 4-bed flats near the North Hampshire Hospital which are let mainly to young single hospital staff on a shared accommodation basis, so this could be changing.
