Hi, can anyone give me details of a Commissioners Decision to help me argue ‘Good Cause’ for not attending an interview.

Cl rang the JCP on 24th Aug to check about a job and was told he should have attended an interview with them that morning…...cl said he would try and get there but JCP said they were due to close and he would not get there in time.

Cl had thought he was having the interview the day after which was also his signing day….

Needless to say they have sanctioned him for 1 week and its going to appeal….miserable muppets!

So, i need to argue the case and beat their stupid ruling!

Any suggestions!

The circumstances described are common in my experience.

Jobseeker gets wrong day.

The good cause would have to stem from something like a health problem/disability causing him to not understand what he had been told at the previous attendance. hearing problems, language, dyslexia?

Questions would have to be along the lines of how was the notification given? Verbally? In writing? Was it a direction?

Was he told? A: Yes because he got wrong day. Explore why he got the wrong day. Don’t just assume the DM has been ‘miserable.’

I’ve seen 6months for failing to apply for a job in the correct format i.e. by letter and CV rather by online form. Who’s the ‘muppet’ then?

Stupid word muppet. I blame Steve Wright and his ‘posse.’ Cringe. I think he started that phrase/name use.

The Twit.
