For HB/CTB, s.123(3) & (4) of the Social Contributions and Benefits Act 1992 expressly provides that a local authority SHALL make full copies of the respective schemes available for inspection, free of charge, at any reasonable time.

Are there equivalent provisions for other benefits and, if so, can anyone point to the legislation?  Of particular interest are IS, JSA and ESA.

I think Income Support is covered by s.123(1)&(2) SSCBA 1992 [there were once equivalent provisions for FC/DWA]

I’m not aware of anything equivalent for ESA or JSA.

Doh! I completely overlooked the reference to IS - thanks Jon.

If anyone can shed any light on JSA or ESA, it would be much appreciated.
