Have to share this one.  Did a DLA form with client this week. On the outdoor mobility section I asked about walking, was it slow, what was his gait like, etc. etc.  Back comes the answer “I’ve just bought a new gate because the old one was too stiff to open”.

A rare moment of humour in the whacky world of DLA..

Being on a main bus route and with a car park we though’t we’d covered all the accessibility issues, but after the Panorama programme I now realise we have been in breach of the Equality Act by failing to provide pontoon facilities for sea borne DLA applicants, who might turn up on the beach just below our office. I’ll get on to it straight away…
