I think this only goes to prove my own long held conspiracy theory that Douglas Adams (author of the Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy etc for all those under 40) is not in fact dead but being held in a secret location and forced to write ideas for consultancy companies…........ the truth is out there!

So they are using “gamification” methods to deal with work related issues then.
Game of “Pacman” anyone ? (showing my age here folks)
Ive used “Pacman” Gamification techniques with the DWP for ages. I often seem to be pointlesly running round a maze with no end product in sight.

Its only if you start running around shouting “wacca wacca wacca wacca wacca….”  that anyone will notice.

We have, for almost 30 years, awarded Ferret Fur-balls to people who get the DWP to introduce sensible, workable new ideas.

When I say awarded, I mean we still have some in a cupboard awaiting the first success.

Gareth

Could you please explain to this poor bemused character, who doesn’t get out into the big wide world all that often, what a Ferrett Fur-ball is?  And for that matter, explain why you haven’t awarded one to IDS - after all he has got DWP to introduce something called Universal Credit, which is going to save the world (or something like that).

Fur-Balls are regurgitated, matted, slightly unpleasant balls of previously licked hair of dubious origin.  It seemed fitting somehow.

Do you need any more Gareth? My cat can produce them by the dozen.

Gareth, do you get the furballs out of a ferret or do you have a cat that likes to lick ferrets - I think we should be told. The first is merely unpleasant but the second is something that the RSPCA probably need to hear about .

Everybody should like to lick ferrets.
