Migration from IB/IS to ESA

I am trying to write a briefing paper for colleagues and clients on what to expect of this process:

Can any one tell me whether IB/IS claimants will be sentt an ESA50 questionnaire and then invited to a medical (as with the current WCA assessment) or will they be invited to a medical only?

If the questionnaire arrives first, will it be used to decide whether anyone can be exempted from the medical and put straight into the support group?
