Simple welfare reform timeline?
Hello
could anyone point me in the direction of a simple description as to what’s happening when with welfare reform - just a “on this date this comes into effect,” or “this will be decided around about this date” kind of thing?
Sorry for the really bad grammar and everything, but it is Monday morning, be easy.
Cheers
Ali
There is this one from Child Poverty Action Group which might help.
Edited to remove link for The Cuts: what they mean for families at risk of poverty
[ Edited: 13 Feb 2012 at 01:09 pm by Paul Treloar ]Thanks for pointing me in CPAG’s direction Paul, although that link doesn’t seem to be working. That information can be found on the CPAG website on the frint page - sorry, got fed up trying to post the link to the PDF which for some reason was only showing half of it.
Thanks again.
Ali
Yes, sorry, I can’t get the link to work either, but glad that you found it on their website.
There is a useful guide produced by NAWRA:
http://www.nawra.org.uk/Documents/Resources/Benefit changes chart Jan 2012.pdf
(you might have to cut and paste the whole of the above link into your browser)
See also the benefit changes pages produced by Newcastle Welfare Rights:
and the Disability Alliance forthcoming changes page at:
Thanks Kurt - the NAWRA table is exactly what I was after. I don’t know why I didn’t go there first!
