Social Security Scotland (SSS) - Advice line for Advisors

Hi,

Does anyone know if SSS has a dedicated advice line for advisors? When phoning Scottish Child Payment (SCP) a recorded message says unless you are phoning to give more information regarding a claim this call will not be answered. It does not give any alternative method of getting an update on a claim for SCP that was made in February this year!

There’s no dedicated Adviser phone line or email. If they say they don’t want you to phone them to find out more, I’d suggest you/your client just make a complaint

Thanks Sean. That’s very helpful and I have used it to complain.

I phoned SSS yesterday about an outstanding SCP case, if you stay on the line and ignore the blurb (designed to discourage you) they will speak to you and discuss the case.
