PIP2008 form?
Does anyone know what this form is about? Google suggests that it is a “PAB further evidence request” but then I don’t know what PAB stands for.
Context is a client who missed her medical assessment and is trying to argue good cause. DWP have been sat on her good cause request for weeks, it has finally reached a decision maker and now apparently they’ve sent this form out to her.
My very old DWP corporate abbreviations list says that PAB is Personal Acting Body.
This document suggests a similar usage :
But it could be something completely different, of course.
Plied alcohol beneficially?
Personally abdicated billions?
Prepose aux beneficiares - Personal Support Worker?
Palin auld b something?

Ah that could make sense actually.
When client missed the assessment she was sent a form to fill in giving her reasons for having not attended. However she did not do anything with this until coming to see me more than a month later. We filled it in (including her signing it) and sent it back with a covering letter in my name giving the background to her situation and requesting that if necessary the good cause form be treated as a MR request of any decision ending her PIP. Maybe they are writing to her seeking confirmation that she wishes for me to be her representative/‘PAB’? Seems a bit unnecessary given that she had signed the previous form that they had sent her and my letter was just a cover.
Will wait and see what it looks like when it gets to her - thanks for the feed back both of you :)
