Hi

Client is currently in receipt of Contribution ESA, CTR and PIP.

She is currently not working due to ill-health and her partner is working for his own company which has been set-up as a PLC - his wage monthly is £1040 and he is also paid £1000 as a dividend which shows up on his self-assessment for his Self-employment as £4500 yearly.

She is also receiving a health insurance payment totalling £1237 each month which is not taxed and not on any self-assessment forms/calculations.

My question is does she need to report these to the DWP and will it affect her benefits, in particular her ESA, as she has not reported these.

Thanks

Adam

I think you need to get some more precise details from your client.

What is the “health insurance payment” -  a loss of earnings policy because of ill health?  How is it assessed?
How does a £1,000 dividend become £4,500? (monthly, quarterly?)
How are CTR treating his ‘wage’?
