ESA appeal and Mortgage Interest
client is currently awaiting an esa appeal, failed WCA. they are also recieving mortgage Interest payments (MIP), since the appeal this award has been reduced and they now face a significant shortfall in their monthly mortgage payments. is it right that their MIP can be reduced and is there any chalange on the grounds of preventing reposession/homeless due to the protracted time appeals are currently taking to be heard
No i don’t think it is either - have you contacted the mortgage interest section to find out why it’s reduced?
Just checking it’s nothing to do with the rate of interest dropping from 6.58% to 3.63% from 1st October? This will put many people in shortfall
