I don’t have much practical experience of UC so would appreciate some advice from someone more experienced in the nuts and bolts of it. My client was recently found to have LCW so he has been sent a new claimant commitment which contains the following:
“Preparing for work
My work preparation plan lists the things I’ll do to give me the best chance of getting paid work.
I will
• Complete all the actions and activities in Section 1 of my work preparation plan
• Attend and take part in appointments with my adviser when required”
He hasn’t seen the “work preparation plan” that seems to contain the stuff he is committing to. What are these things and what sort of stuff do they have in them, particularly ‘section 1’? Is it usual to get someone to sign a commitment to do something in a plan they haven’t seen?

Can’t see how someone can sign up to do something when he doesn’t know what those things actually are?

On the claimant commitment forms here, the work preparation plan is in the CC in most of them - have they failed to send that bit through to him perhaps?
