Benefit Cap Reduction - Impact on Household Incomes

I’ve estimated the effect of the reduced level of the UC (and HB) benefits cap reduction ( for LHA by BRMA / non-LHA for various household combinations.)

For HB, some households don’t see the the full £6,000 (or £3,000 in London) drop in income because the don’t have that much HB left to lose ( particularly if they’ve already been hit by the cap at the current level.)  However, for UC it will be worse because the cap carries on cutting into the rest of the UC award.
