The budget announced that the Permitted Work time limit of 52 weeks is abolished for ESA (WRAG) claimants.

Does anyone know when this is being introduced?

Does anyone know if this applies or not to people who are in receipt of IB?

Thanks

This was in the Budget, I don’t know if it is specifically what you were looking for as it only refers to claimants in the WRAG

“2.70 Improving support for ESA Work Related Activity Group claimants”

——

“remove the 52 week work time limit on Permitted Work rules for claimants in
the Work Related Activity Group from April 2017. (53)”

Yes - thank you

- I contacted a DWP Policy person and they said they didn’t know either until the regs were drafted??

Why take a year to abolish a silly rule?
