IIDB AWARD for Life
A client has asked me to investigate his entitlement to IIDB, which stopped when he reached 65. He was awarded it for life over 20 years ago. My understanding and experience is that life means life not 65. He is now 69 years old. Am I correct or am I missing something.
Yes , I agree with you life means life and the IIDB does not end at 65 , I have a relative in receipt of IIDB who is 74
Possibly it was Reduced Earnings Allowance, rather than IIDB?
REA is normally replaced at 65 by Retirement Allowance.
