Hello

I am sure there was a post a long time ago with a link to somewhere which gave you numbers of people in receipt of different benefits per area. I am looking for numbers in receipt of ESA in Wythenshawe.

I have tried the LA census info by ward but am struggling to find what I need.

Any suggestions?

DWP Tab tool has ESA caseload by LA or parliamentary constituency but not ward level.

http://tabulation-tool.dwp.gov.uk/100pc/tabtool.html

For example, selecting..

Benefit/Scheme : Employment and Support Allowance

... and then…

Analysis:Caseload

Row:Parliamentary Constituency of Claimant

Column:Region

Subset:None

Date: May 2015

... suggests 6,430 ESA claimants in Wythenshawe and Sale East

which might allow you make a reasonable estimate for Wythenshawe.

You may be able to get the info from the ONS site but I don’t know how up to date it will be
