Help!

Hi guys, hope someone can help.

We’re new to UC and our first client has us stumped!!

Claimant is 19 and claimed UC as a single person. Claim was made mid November when we went live. His partner, who is 17 and a student, has just moved in.

Claimant’s partner thinks he has had an advance payment of UC, so I am not sure whether he is able to break the claim.

Any advice would be appreciated. Can he break UC claim and make a joint claim to legacy benefits with his partner, or is that him in now for good?
