Points available where claimant cannot be prompted to complete the task
If a claimant with severe depression cannot (say) bathe or shower even with prompting, can they argue that they need assistance to wash, even if in practice the assistance is not ever likely to be provided?
Or is a claimant with purely mental barriers limited to two points?
I think it’s arguable that the structure of the test presupposes that notionally, the activity must be completed every day one way or another, so physical assistance would be needed to do so even if not being provided, but would welcome any counter-arguments.
